Free Myspace Classified Ads Posting Guide.

Many people don't know that Myspace has classified ad Posting Service just like the popular online ads giant, Craigslist. Like Craigslist, using the Myspace classified ads are free and available to anyone who has had a profile for seven days.

The most commonly posted items are employment, relationship, for sale, housing and services. While the classified section on Myspace is not nearly as popular as its rival Craigslist, it still has a lot to offer. If you're a savvy marketer using these free ads can lead you to increased exposure and visibility to your own product or service.

The classifieds section is located by clicking on 'Classifieds' from the top right of your Myspace page. If you're looking to get started posting right away you can do so by selecting 'Post Ad' from the top right of the classifieds page. You can select the city you wish to post your ad to by clicking on 'Change City' from the top left of the page.

Once you've selected to post an ad you'll need to select a category from the pull down menu. You'll then be able to select a sub-category if necessary as well as enter in price details. Next you'll want to type in your ad heading. You should be mindful to be as descriptive as possible in order to be found when someone does a search by keywords.

Now that you have entered your subject you have the option to upload a picture by clicking on 'Img.' Doing so will prompt Myspace to ask you for the destination URL of the picture. In order to use this feature you must have previously uploaded your picture to the internet. Your next step will be to enter a description of your ad. This is where you'll want to add a more in depth description that will show up below your uploaded image, if you have one.

Before you're done you should click 'Preview' to take a look at your results and make sure the image shows correctly. If everything looks good select 'Post' and your classified ad will be visible on Myspace. Remember to be aware of the Myspace terms before you make any postings. There is a flag link on each classified ad. Posting something that could be considered as spam or abuse could get you into trouble or your ad deleted.
